I am a mother from Harare, Zimbabwe — and I have two sons named Hiddekel (6) and Hanniel, who turns 5 in September. They are the real Hiddekel and Hanniel. The books and the show are built around them.

With a background in Computer Systems and Networks and a certification in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, I wanted to create something African-centric — a genuinely African, genuinely warm way to explain AI to young children.

So I built VakundiStudios.

VakundiStudios is a next-generation African innovation studio creating STEM and AI edutainment for the children who will build Africa's future. The characters in our books and animated series are virtual versions of my real boys — and VIVA, their AI companion, is the bridge between what they know and what they are about to discover.

This is 50 books, a full animated series, and one mission — to make sure every African child grows up not just using AI, but understanding it, questioning it, and one day building with it.
